NOTE:

Note:

Acheron is the Greek river of pain and suffering
Elysium is the Greek version of Heaven or Paradise

Basically I wanted to symbolize the dual nature of life

From Gandhi To Bin Laden

Hello there......I know it's been a while since I've written anything here but it's been a crazy few months. I've dedicated a lot of time to poetry, music and studies; moved to a new home and also built three media docks out of Legos (don't ask).

Anyway I was writing an assignment on Gandhian Philosophy, when I started to really think about the subject (rarely happens with studies). Gandhi was an interesting guy to say the least, and a lot of people believe that he is the template for the perfect human being.

Destruction Of Earth: A Concise Edition

Peer Pressure And Idolization

Peer Pressure is an increasing problem that a lot of my friends (and to be frank every teenager) face. Every person who wants to be in the more popular or "happening" social group. For this people succumb to social pressure. In the process they sacrifice their personalities and change a lot of integral aspects about themselves. They force themselves into bad habits and other activities that would make them seem like a "rebel" or a "bad-ass".

Seek The Truth, For The Truth Shall Set You Free

Music VS Business

A couple of days ago a friend was listening to this song and really enjoying it. He told me to listen to it 'cause he thought it was pretty good. These are what the lyrics were like:

"All the things that you said was it all in my head?
Come on baby
Keep it down, honey hush your lips
Clothes trailing from the backdoor to the bedroom."

The only thing that came to my mind was 'Why would anyone call this music?'. As I have said before music is supposed to be an outlet of emotion, a catharsis. I have observed that in today's music industry all that matters is money. Artists and bands completely change their musical direction for profit.

Blacken The Cursed Sun

"Is there still hope for us?
Can we still be saved?
Does your God hold a place for us?
Is there time to repent?"

These are lyrics from a song I heard recently called Blacken The Cursed Sun by this band called Lamb Of God. This is a song that is anti-organised religion. It's about how religion has been corrupted and when the end of days is at hand we will be shown no mercy. A lot of institutions have criticized this as heresy and satanic lyrics but I beg to differ.
